Having Fun with Grandmas

We have been blessed to have both Grandmas come and stay to help take care of Beckett. He (and me) have both really appreciated all the extra help. Beckett loves his Grandmas!

Sleep Anyone?

Last night Ryan went to check on Beckett, but came back to bed without the baby. I asked Ryan if he would go get him for me. Ryan replied "I already fed the baby". I couldn't figure out how Ryan fed the baby since we're not bottle feeding. I told Ryan that I feed the baby and he doesn't. He replied "No, I fed the baby a bottle on my chest and we watched a movie". haha! After he said that I realized Ryan needs much more sleep than what he was getting. I didn't wake him up the rest of the night! I had a good laugh and told him about it this morning. We laughed together. Tonight we are going to bed early!

Ryan just loves Beckett and wants to be with him all the time. I can see Beckett looking like Ryan more and more every day. Beckett definitely takes after the Jenkins side!

Happy Father's Day!!

We have been having so much fun with our new baby! We named him Beckett Thomas Jenkins.

This is how Beckett looks when he is awake. He likes to move his head around and see what his surroundings are. Every now and then he'll look at me to see who is holding him. He mostly sleeps all day long.

Beckett made his dad a Father's Day card. Ryan loved it.

If you are lucky you can catch a little smile every now and again. That is SO fun to see!

Happy Father's Day to Ryan!! He loves being a dad. We went on a walk today with our Baby Bjorn. (Next time we're taking the sling, Joanna!) Beckett loves being held and he loves sleeping on Ryan's chest. They're a great pair!

Also, Happy Father's Day to our wonderful dads! We love you both so much!

Surprise!!

Wow! We have our sweet little baby here with us! Our sweet little baby turned out to be a little BOY! I will share the story later when I'm not so darn tired! He has brown hair, gray blue eyes, and weighed in at 8 lb. 12 oz. He is 19 inches long and we love him SO MUCH.

In Labor

Cecily's water broke at about 12:30 (about 2 1/2 hours ago). We're at the hospital now. She has already received her epidural and is now resting while we wait for her to dilate a bit more. She's currently dilated to 3 cm (out of 10) and is 90% effaced. I'll try to update here as frequently as I can (within reason). :)

Hmmm

Well, the baby is still not here, lol. She is supposed to come "anyday" but I think she is waiting for summer to actually be here. She is waiting for the thunderstorms to be over with I suppose!

New Kitchen Lights!!

We have lights under all my kitchen cupboards now! It's so wonderful. It feels like a new kitchen!

We have one over the sink. I think the light hadn't warmed up the whole way for this picture yet. However, I LOVE it!!!! It's so nice. I can see everything so much better, and I don't feel like I'm cooking in a hole. I have light everywhere. It's great! Thanks Ryan and Kevin!!

Brett is off to the MTC!

We had the great opportunity of going to Idaho Falls when Brett and Alicia went through the Temple for the first time. It was such a wonderful experience. We were so glad we could go.

Here Brett and Alicia are afterwards. It was a wonderful day.

This is at Brett's going away party. That cake was so delicious! Brett went to the MTC this past Wednesday, and he is off to serve in the Cauayan Philippines Mission. I have no idea how to spell his mission name! Best of luck to you Brett! We love you!

Crib and Glider Pics

This is the glider Ryan bought me for my birthday. It is so comfortable. I've already fallen asleep rocking in it!

Here is the crib that we finished together...meaning Ryan finished it mostly and I supported by watching. I have such a great husband!

Baby Update

Well, I went into the doctor this morning. I am dilated to almost a 3 and 80% effaced! ACK! My doctor said she would probably come in the next few weeks. It looks like Baby Jayna won't make it to her due date.

We are naming our baby girl Jayna for those of you who might not know yet. It means "God is gracious", and it is perfect for our baby and the trials/troubles we have gone through to get this far. We've had some very tough times, but our joy is so full thinking about our sweet baby girl. We've already run into a few people who know others with the same name.

Over the past week and a half our friend, Kevin Anglesey, has been staying with us. He helped us put lights under all of my kitchen cupboards, (I LOVE IT!) and then helped Ryan start putting a light over my kitchen sink. On Saturday Ryan finished putting the light in, and my kitchen is so wonderful!!!! It's awesome!

Also on Saturday we picked up the glider Ryan bought me for my birthday! We put that together the same day and I just love it. It is so nice. We also put the whole crib together and put her bedding in it. I am ready for this baby!

Pictures to come later!
