Hebgen Lake 2009

We went on our last vacation of the summer this past week. We went up to West Yellowstone and enjoyed Hebgen Lake and Yellowstone Park. It was fun enjoying some family time.

We went out on the jet ski and had some fun together.

We saw a bald eagle circling overhead. It was so beautiful.

We also had some fun on the canoe. It was really nice of our family to watch the baby for us while we went out on the water for some fun!!

Vacation in Park City

For the past few days we've been vacationing in Park City with Ryan's family. We had a lot of fun!

We went swimming in Kamas. It was so fun! Beckett took to the water like a fish. :)

We rode the Alpine Slide. Ryan and I raced, and I really thought I would win! I didn't even win with a head start.

We barbecued or I should say Ryan barbecued, and I held the baby.

Ryan loves barbecuing and hamburgers. Perfect match!

We went to the Olympic Park. It is amazing what people can do! I couldn't believe all these young kids jumping in all decked out in their ski gear.

This guy was amazing!! Ryan got a video of him jumping. The people inside said he was probably one of the Australian guys, meaning he was on the Australian Olympic Team. It was fascinating.

On Sunday we went to the Family Tree Visitor's Center in Park City.

The church built it there right before the Olympics. I decided to try and find some lost ancestors on Ryan's side since his Grandma Nelson was with us. To make a long story short I was able to find Ryan's third great grandfather and grandmother that no one has ever been able to find. Many records were burned in a fire and it has been very difficult to find them. Ryan and I have tried to find them before with no luck whatsoever. We found them in an early Canadian census through a website the center pays for. It was truly a miracle and very rewarding!!

Beckett's Blessing Day

Today Ryan blessed Beckett. It was such a wonderful day! He was such a good baby during the blessing, and it is so wonderful having a sweet baby in our family. Thank you to all our friends and family who have supported us through our journey to make him a part of our little family.
